The first step in upgrading or adding new LAN/WAN networks is understanding the current infrastructure. Most organizations have a hard time maintaining up-to-date Logical Network Diagrams. When we assist our clients with infrastructure network services, the first thing that we ask to see is the current Logical Network Diagram. If not already made, our team can construct the Logical Network Diagram from existing documentation and interviews with the IT Administrators.
Once the current infrastructure is documented, then we can work with your local IT Admin team to make the most out of your existing network. We have all of the necessary software and hardware tools to locate network bandwidth bottlenecks and streamline TCP/IP communications.
Often, we find that IT networks are undersized for the way they are being used. The first indicators of undersized networks are dropped packets,
slow access to files and applications, or very slow print jobs. To properly attack the source of these problems involves understanding the physical and virtual networks connecting the users to the applications and files.
We have helped some of our clients discover bandwidth bottlenecks by using network monitoring tools. We also created a solution to their problems by either upgrading existing frame relay circuit speeds or installing new private or VPN network connections.
